Japan the land of the Rising Sun and Epic Powder beckons me, as does a mermaid who whispers to the sailor who needs to return to the sea.
Will I find what I have lost, what I yearn to rediscover and if so the question quite simply remains what next?
So folks, back home after an fantastic 2 week adventure in Japan from Bluebird days in the Winter Olympic Village of Hakuba to fresh deep snow at the amazing Nozawa Onsen and crazy nights in Tokyo.
Did I rediscover the 'stoke', the 'fire' , the 'passion' ? You bet your ass I did ! and it was fantastic to share this adventure with my best buddy of 36 years Kenny the greek god Malaxos. The snow, the mountains and travels are best shared with friends, best friend at that, but i also realized the body hurts a whole lot more at 40 god dam it ...
What next ? Well i have a few months to think about that but I'm pretty sure Snowboarding will continue to be a part of my life for a long long time assuming the knees don't pack it in..
So Spain, Turkey, Lebanon maybe even Iran and Bosnia are still boxes to be ticked .... Maybe Ill retire when i hit 50 ...
For now check out some of the trips reports and book yourself a trip to Japan for your next snowboarding trip and experience the best and deepest pow pow.
