The 2007 FIS Snowboard World Championships in Swiss Arosa.

Thursday, 9 November 2006

From January 14th to 20th, the best riders of each nation will battle for World Champion honours in Switzerland. For the first time, the 7th FIS Snowboard World Championships are taking place on Swiss ground.

But by no means, hosting resort Arosa is not a newcomer when it comes to organise a perfect snowboard event. The health resort, located on 1.800 meters altitude in the Grisons canton, already gained experience with three World Cup stops including the World Cup finals of the 2002/2003 season. For the WCS competitions in the disciplines Parallel Slalom, Parallel Giant Slalom, Snowboard Cross, Halfpipe and Big Air, the host guarantees courses and facilities of highest levels.

Here the time schedule:

January 14th, 2007: Snowboard Cross Men and Women
January 16th, 2007: Parallel Giant Slalom Men and Women
January 17th, 2007: Parallel Slalom Men and Women
January 19th, 2007: Big Air Men
January 20th, 2007: Halfpipe Men and Women
