KIMBELREY ALPINE RESORT PRESENTS THE DREAMCATCHER STARLIGHT SHOWDOWN

Kimberley, BC  – Kimberley Alpine Resort will host the DreamCatcher Starlight Showdown on Saturday, February 16th, as part of the Family Day activities at the ski resort. The DreamCatcher Starlight Showdown will be the final stop in the RCR Rail Jam Series, and will take place from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, under the lights and stars at Kimberley Alpine Resort.
 
The competition will be a great one for spectators, and is open to new competitors, as well as those who have been competing in the RCR circuit all season long. The event is open to both skiers and snowboarders, and both categories will be judged on style, effort and talent.
 
This event will determine the overall male and female athletes of the entire Rail Series, who will both walk away with a prestigious Bro2Pro Helly Hansen Sponsorship for the 08/09 season. Further, up for grabs for all competitors is a $1600 cash purse, as well as tons of prizing from Helly Hansen, Scott, Fresh, and MGT Snowboard Camps. 
 
Registration is available online now at www.skircr.com/compete. Registration (based on availability) will also take place at the ski resort between 3pm and 4pm on the day of the event. Space is limited so register early!
 
The competition is scheduled to start at 5:00pm, and is part of many activities taking place at Kimberley Alpine Resort over Family Day weekend. On Saturday afternoon and evening, there will be DJs, live music in the Stemwinder Bar and Grill, a Fireworks display at 9:00pm and a Glowstick parade for the little ones at 6pm.
