Mario Kappelli(SUI) Wins - Budriders River Jump In Italy - 3(three) Star TTR Event

Livigno, Italy - The first edition of the Budriders’ River Jump went down on March 26th 2006 with Swiss pro Mario Kappelli taking home the King of the River title and 4,000euro in prize money.

The result completed Kappelli’s required 4 mandatory tour results for a full TTR Championships score with the 550 points having secured him a spot within the World’s top 60(he is now in 53rd spot). Second place went to Wyatt Caldwell(USA) with Matias Radaelli(ARG) taking third.

The Budriders’ River Jump, which consisted of a day-time slopestyle that innovatively incorporated the “Spoel “ river as a prop giving options of various obstacles and rails making river/gap crossing a new and unique addition to an already colourful and utmost creative array of TTR tour stadium designs!  With Swiss Junior and TTR season stand out Christian Haller (winner of the 5(five) Star Burton European Open Junior slopestyle) winning the day time Slopestyle qualifiers contest the stage was set for the invited pros to meet the in-form qualifiers.  As not only tour points were at stake, top performances went down throughout the evening with no less that seven event titles including the overall TTR event winner being awarded.
