Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. - Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) has announced season pass prices for the 2001/2002 season. ASC offers three timelines for individual and chamber-member pass purchases: Super Early, which offer's the best rates on all season passes, and must be purchased before Aug. 31; Early, for passes purchased through Nov. 30; and Regular for passes purchased after Nov 30 (see attached pricing grid). Two new passes are being offered this year - the Highlands/Buttermilk Pass and the Highlands/Buttermilk Validator - both good at Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk only.

The Premier Pass, a full-season, four-mountain pass, is packed with added value. The Premier Pass is valid for any operating dates prior to or after the scheduled season, as well as summer lifts at both Aspen Mountain and Snowmass. Premier passholders also enjoy additional benefits including: 15 percent off food at the Cliffhouse at Buttermilk and Sam's Knob Café at Snowmass, $20 off the Unlimited Local's Clinic Pass, 50 percent savings on film processing at Mountain Photo and 10 percent off all purchases at Pro Mountain Sports. Individuals who purchase the Premier Pass before Aug. 31 pay $1,399, while Chamber members pay $999.

"Our Premier Pass offers outstanding flexibility and value," says John Rigney, ASC director of ticketing, "and our entire pass offering provides attractive options to suit the needs of all skiers and riders."

The new Highlands/Buttermilk Pass allows passholders to experience the peaks and parks of these two great mountains at very affordable prices. The Full Pass is $599 (super early) and the Validator is $399 (super early) with a $10 daily validation. After 30 validations the Validator is upgraded to a Full Highlands/Buttermilk Pass.

During the super early season, the 20-day Pass will be offered for $800. The 2-Day/Week Pass is $849 for individuals and $699 for Chamber members. The 1-Day/Week Pass is $679 for individuals, and $519 for Chamber members. The Silver Pass, for seniors 70 and older, offers all Premier Pass benefits for just $119 if purchased prior to December 1. Seniors, ages 65-69, are eligible for chamber rates. Local students will be notified of pass prices, sales dates and sales locations through school newsletters.
