It's been a fantastic season at Perisher Blue with excellent snow conditions and a great snow cover. With recent snowfalls and even more snow predicted, the Spring season is shaping up to be huge.
Perisher Blue will be open until October 13th and conditions are the best seen at this time of year in ages. Even better news is that a Spring Season Pass has been introduced.
The new Pass will be available from September 11th and will be valid until the end of the season at the following prices.
Adults $495 ($600 with Skitube)
Child $260 (1,1,1, the 126m halfpipe and the beginners half pipe, two terrain parks, a boardercross course at Blue Cow and a slopestyle course on Front Valley.
"We really believe this is great value for our guests, the Spring Pass equates to skiing and boarding for about $18 per day, if purchased straight away. Conditions are still excellent, so it's a great incentive to get some turns in before the season ends." Said Neil Thew, Public Relations and Business Development Manager.
In other news around the resort Perisher Blue is set to retire the duplex t-bars on Front Valley and introduce an 8 seat detachable express chairlift in its' place.
The chairlift is the first of its' type in the southern hemisphere and will transport skiers to the top of Front Valley.
The retiring T-bars are long due for a break after transporting over 52,224,000 skiers and boarders to the top of Front Valley.
The new 8 seater will be built over summer ready for 2003! But in the meantime hightail it up to Perisher Blue and make the most of these Spring conditions.
