THANKSJIBBING KICKS OFF THE SEASON ON ASPEN MOUNTAIN

The Olenick Brothers, Mitch Reed, Steele Spence and others to Compete Under the Lights Saturday, Nov. 24 from 6 – 8 p.m.
Après Beer Garden and DJ Kick Off the Party at 3 p.m.
Aspen/Snowmass, CO., November 22, 2007 – Thanksjibbing, a ski and snowboard competition, returns to Aspen Mountain this Saturday, November 24 from 6 – 8 p.m. after a one-year hiatus.
Team Aspen/Snowmass Athletes including Peter and Michael Olenick, Steele Spence, Mitch Reed, Teddy Karlinski, Justin Bartle and Matt Walker, among other athletes, will compete for cash prizes under the lights on boxes and jib features.
The party officially starts with après entertainment at 3 p.m., featuring a DJ and Beer Garden on Upper Gondola Plaza and House of Bounce in Lower Gondola Plaza as well as fire pits throughout to keep the crowds warm.
The actual competition starts at 6 p.m. and the crowd will have a chance to win a pair of skis, a snowboard and plenty other prizes courtesy of D&E Ski and Snowboard Shop.
