Mount Hutt Opens for the 2005 Season

Mt. Hutt, NZ, opened today with good conditions. Here is a photo of the first four guys to ride a ski lift for the purpose of skiing or snowboarding in Australasia this season. They camped out at the base of the exhibition quad at Mt Hutt last night to ensure they were first on the lift and therefore were the recipients of the coveted ‘first on the lift 2005' t-shirts. They are from left to right Blair Harris of Rangiora, Shawn Cameron, Nick Mead and Bruce Climo all of Lincoln. For Blair Harris, this is the third ‘first on the chair' T-shirt he's managed to pick up – a tradition is in the making!
